Cork/Bamboo Floors!

Natural Cork and Natural Bamboo floors are a fantastic addition to any home! They're unique, environment friendly, and they come with a lifetime warranty!

We have many different samples on display, so visit our East Greenwich Main Street showroom today and check them out.

Natural cork is one of the best flooring options. Not only is it earth-friendly, its also durable and easy to clean. Cork is mold and mildew resistant, uninhabitable for insects, and scratch-resistant. Its great for any New England home, because it's a thermal insulator, as well as an acoustic insulator. Cork floors are made in Portugal and Spain, and are very high quality. Many people think that cork flooring is a new option, but it has been in  The Library of Congress in Washington, DC, for many years! Check out more about cork floors at: Natural Cork- US Floors

Bamboo is a fantastic option for anyone looking increase their homes eco-friendliness and beauty. It is one of the best choices to make your home "green" because the bamboo plant, like grass, can be cut without any danger to the life of the plant (this is true for cork also). It's also a uniquely beautiful floor, because no two floors will ever be alike. Visit the supplier of our bamboo floors' website, Natural Bamboo- US Floors.

Tips & Tricks: New and Exciting Walls!

Rather than simple paint or wallpaper, ECD offers many different options to outfit your walls.

A beautiful, timeless option is venetian plaster walls. This technique leaves your walls with a smooth, 2-tone, multi-dimensional appearance much like that of marble or natural stone. This style, with its visual interest and charm, are perfect in any type of home, from casual to contemporary.

One of the simpliest and well known alternative to traditional walls is sponging. In this process, an uneven sponge is dipped into paint and dabbed on a surface to create an interesting pattern. It adds texture and depths to the walls, and is therefore a good option for walls that may have irregularities in it.

Another new, exciting option is a wood finish with paint. With a special technique, we can replicate the appearence of wooden walls with paint instead of using wooden veneers. This is both space-efficient and, in some cases, cheaper than using actual wood. Some rooms that will greatly benefit from this addition are libraries, family rooms, man caves, etc.

Colorwashing, which creates a unique water-color effect, is another fantastic idea that can be used in any style of room. It creates a warm, comfortable effect, and adds just the right pop of interest. This is a beautiful addition to any room.

Finally, be sure to think about striping your walls. This is an especially good technique for hallways, because it gives the appearance of a more spacious area. There are many different things you can do with striping, because you are not only limited to color stripes! You can use textures and patterns to add interest to your walls.
